This article analyzes the construction of the contours of international crimes in their formal and material aspects, which are currently defined by the Rome Statute as crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression. Initially, these crimes are analyzed from the point of view of the historical development of international law and later they are analyzed from the point of view of French and Brazilian comparative law.
