In the present article we focus on understanding of humanism about its different phases as well as the emergence of Human Rights from the needs of social transformations, still in Ancient Greece and through the emergence of Christianity, when the human being by the simple fact of being Human was endowed with value, and still taking historical facts into account until the recent past. We will draw a parallel between Human Rights in general and the minorities of Indians and Blacks, observing whether or not there are differences. And finally we will highlight the figure of Francisco de Vitoria and his contribution as founder of International Human and Environmental Rights, being a characteristic symbol of the city of Salamanca – and as well as a role model not only for the indigenous peoples of America, scenery for the defense of the rights of these peoples, but for all human beings.
