Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the requirements outlined Author Guidelines.
  • Authors submitting a paper to the Journal of IBDH fully subscribe to the Copyright Declaration below.
  • Submissions through this portal have been momentarily disabled. For the time being, authors must send their papers to the email mentioned below.

Author Guidelines

1. The paper must be unpublished in Brazil, and can be written in French, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese. If it has been presented at a conference, seminar or other event, it should mention that in a footnote, naming the event.

2. The paper must be saved in the format "Word for Windows".

3. The paper should contain between 15 (fifteen) and 25 (twenty five) pages in A4 format with standard margins (Top: 3 cm; Left: 2 cm; Right: 3 cm; Bottom: 2 cm).

4. The paper must be organized in sections progressively numbered, contain a summary and the following specifications: font Times New Roman size 12; spacing between lines 1.5; first line of each paragraph with indentation of 1.0 cm away from the margin; justified text.

5. The first page of the article must contain: the paper’s title, subtitle (in case there is one), abstract and keywords in the language used and in English (in case it is not the language of the paper) and a mini-curriculum vitae of the author (maximum of 5 lines, containing their academic status, titles, institutions to which he belongs and his professional practice).

6. The footnotes and references must be numbered, aligned to the left and be presented at to the end of the paper, rather than at the bottom of each page.

7. The last page will contain the author's full name, address, phone and email.

8. All quotations presented in the paper should indicate their sources and be made in accordance with the technical standards in force; in the case of papers sent by foreign contributors, the journal’s Editorial Board shall ensure their adjustment to the Brazilian citation and reference standards.

9. The papers received will be evaluated first in terms of their correspondence to the aim of the journal and the guidelines defined for authors. In a second stage, the papers are evaluated in terms of quality, including: 1. The originality of the topic and of the approach chosen by the author; 2. How well-defined are the topic, objectives and methods, and their correc use; 3. Consistency among the paper’s title, introduction, development and conclusion, that besides being consistent with each other, must also conform to the objectives the authos defined for the paper; 5. Correct use of language, including the use of a writing style that is clear and objective.

Os nomes e endereços informados nesta revista serão usados exclusivamente para os serviços prestados por este periódico, não sendo disponibilizados para outras finalidades ou a terceiros.

A Revista do Instituto Brasileiro de Direitos Humanos respeita a privacidade de todos(as) os(as) usuários(as), autores(as), pareceristas e leitores(as) e assegura que os dados pessoais coletados são tratados conforme as normas da Lei n.º 13.709/2018 (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais – LGPD).

As informações pessoais são utilizadas apenas para:

  • Comunicação e gerenciamento editorial;

  • Envio de notificações e informações relacionadas às atividades da revista;

Ao realizar o cadastro ou submeter um manuscrito, o(a) usuário(a) concorda com os termos desta Declaração de Privacidade.

Esta é uma revista de acesso aberto, o que significa que todo o conteúdo está disponível gratuitamente para o usuário ou sua instituição. Os usuários podem ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar ou criar links para os textos completos dos artigos, ou utilizá-los para qualquer outra finalidade lícita, sem necessidade de solicitar autorização prévia da editora ou do autor. Isso está de acordo com a definição de acesso aberto da BOAI.

The IBDH Journal ensures the privacy of all users, authors, reviewers, and readers. Personal information provided to the journal will be used exclusively for editorial purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Collected data are used for editorial communication, scientific dissemination, and the management of submissions and publications, in accordance with Brazilian Law No. 13.709/2018 (General Data Protection Law – LGPD).

All data are securely stored and accessible only to the editorial team. Users may request the correction, update, or deletion of their personal information by contacting the journal’s editorial office via the official e-mail address.

By registering or submitting a manuscript, the user acknowledges and agrees with this Privacy Statement.

This is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
