As a result of the unstoppable process of humanization of international Law, the promotion and protection of the intrinsic dignity of the human being has experienced an unprecedented evolution, especially in these last two decades of the 21st Century. Within the international practice of the UN, and thanks to the Conferences that have been organized since the beginning of this Century, the triad “Rule of Law, Democracy and Human Rights” would have been consolidated as a fundamental tool to ensure respect, promotion and integral protection of the human being. In this article the author analyzes the specific implications that this triad has had within the universal system of human rights protection in these first two decades of the 21st century.
