Keywords:
Globalization, human rights, international crimes, International Criminal Court, International Criminal LawAbstract
The relationship between international criminal law and human rights is a deep one, as the historical evolution and the projects of International codification show. This a natural consequence of the relevance of the values to be protected, as the ICC Statute shows. However, in the main fields of action of the global agencies, the most intensive efforts are devoted more to the assurance of efficiency in prosecution, than to the respect of fundamental penal and procedural guarantees.
