L'article explore l'attitude de la Cour europeenne des droits de l'homme face aux aspects principaux de la crise que traverse actuellement l'Europe, à savoir la crise économique, la crise des migrants et des refugies, le terrorisme et les conflits armes. En traçant les grandes lignes jurisprudentielles en ces matières, l'auteur cherche à mettre en evidence la contribution de la Cour dans l'examen d'un grand nombre d'affaires extrêmement délicates juridiquement, politiquement et humainement et son role en tant que gardienne des idéaux et des principes démocratiques de notre continent.
